Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy describes how Taskamatic, LLC (“we”, “us”, or “our”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use Linkamatic (linkamatic.com, the “Service”). By using the Service you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.
Information We Collect
We collect the information you provide directly, such as the email address and account details you supply when you register, and the pages, links, and widget content you create. We also collect limited technical information automatically, including your IP address, browser type, device information, and the pages you view, in order to operate and secure the Service.
When you sign in, we record the public IP address you signed in from and associate it with your account, so that you can see when your internet provider has changed your address. We keep only a small, recent set of these addresses, and they are deleted when your account is deleted.
Log Files
Like most websites, the Service uses log files. These record information including IP addresses, browser type, Internet Service Provider, date and time stamps, referring and exit pages, and the number of clicks. This information is used to analyze trends, administer the site, and gather demographic information. Where you are signed in, some of this information — including your IP address — is associated with your account, as described above.
Advertising Measurement
The Service shows a small advertising bar. To count how often an advertisement was actually displayed, and how many separate visitors saw it, we keep a daily tally for each advertisement alongside the IP address it was shown to. We use this only to count advertisements and distinct addresses per day, to separate our own internal traffic from real traffic, and to investigate a specific complaint about misuse. We do not use it to build a profile of you, and we never share IP addresses with an advertising partner — they receive counts only.
The IP address is deleted 90 days after the day it was recorded. The daily counts remain after that, but they are no longer connected to any address.
Campaign and Referral Analytics
When you arrive at our marketing pages from an advertisement, link, or campaign, we record the campaign parameters present in the address (such as the UTM source, medium, and campaign name) along with advertising click identifiers and the referring web address. If you go on to create an account, this first-touch information is associated with your signup so we can measure which campaigns are effective. We collect and use this data as analytics in our legitimate interest to understand and improve how people discover the Service. This information can be related to you and is therefore treated as personal information under this policy. You may contact us to request access to or deletion of this data.
Cookies and Web Beacons
The Service uses cookies to store information including your preferences and the pages you accessed or visited. This information is used to optimize your experience by customizing content based on your browser type and other information. You can choose to disable cookies through your browser settings; doing so may affect some functionality of the Service.
Advertising
We may display advertising on the Service through third-party advertising partners, including Google. These third-party vendors use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this Service and other websites on the Internet.
Google’s use of advertising cookies (including the DoubleClick DART cookie) enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to the Service and/or other sites on the Internet. You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google’s Ads Settings. You may also opt out of a third-party vendor’s use of cookies for personalized advertising by visiting www.aboutads.info. For more information on how Google uses data when you use our Service, see How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services.
We have no access to or control over the cookies used by third-party advertisers. We advise you to consult the respective privacy policies of these third-party ad servers for more detailed information, including their practices and instructions about how to opt out of certain options.
Linkamatic is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com. As an Amazon Associate, we earn from qualifying purchases. Links to Amazon on the Service may be affiliate links.
Third-Party Privacy Policies
This Privacy Policy does not apply to other advertisers or websites. We advise you to consult the respective privacy policies of these third-party ad servers for more detailed information. Each third party’s policy and methods for opting out are governed by that party.
Children’s Information
The Service is not directed to children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13. If you believe that a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will promptly remove such information from our records.
Your Choices and Rights
You may access, update, or delete your account information at any time through your account settings. You may also request deletion of your account by contacting us. Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have additional rights regarding your personal information.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new policy on this page and updating the “Last updated” date above. You are advised to review this policy periodically for any changes.
