You can sign in to Linkamatic with a Google account or a Microsoft account instead of creating a password. Both work for signing up and for coming back later, and either can be added to an account you already have. Nothing about your pages, widgets, or sharing changes — only the way you get in.
Which accounts work
- Google — any Google account, personal or Workspace.
- Microsoft — both personal accounts (outlook.com, hotmail.com, live.com, or a Microsoft account built on another address) and work or school accounts from Microsoft 365.
You can attach both to the same Linkamatic account and use whichever is convenient. You can also keep a password alongside them.
Creating an account
On the sign-up page, choose Continue with Google or Continue with Microsoft instead of filling in the form. You will be taken to Google or Microsoft to sign in, then returned to Linkamatic to pick a username.
Linkamatic suggests a username based on your name or email address. You can edit it before confirming, but choose carefully — usernames cannot be changed later, because the web addresses of your shared pages are built from it.
After that you go through the same short setup as anyone else, and your first page is built for you.
Coming back
On the sign-in page, choose the same button you signed up with. You are not asked for a username again — Linkamatic recognizes the account and takes you straight in.
If your email address changes at Google or Microsoft, you still reach the same Linkamatic account. Sign-in is matched on the account itself, not on the address attached to it.
Adding Google or Microsoft to an existing account
If you already sign in with an email address and password, there are two ways to add a provider.
- Sign in with the provider using the same email address as your Linkamatic account. If the provider confirms that address belongs to you, the two are linked automatically and you stay on one account.
- Or sign in the way you normally do, open Profile settings, and use Connected accounts to add the provider deliberately.

Disconnecting
Connected accounts lists everything attached to your account, each with its own Disconnect button. Disconnecting only removes that sign-in method — your pages, widgets, and shared links are untouched.
If Microsoft sign-in does not work
A few messages are worth explaining, because the fix is not always obvious.
"Your organization's administrator must approve Linkamatic"
Some workplaces and school districts require an IT administrator to approve any outside app before staff can use it. This is a setting on your organization, not a problem with your account, and you cannot approve it yourself.
Ask whoever manages your Microsoft 365 accounts to approve Linkamatic for your organization. They only need to do it once, for everyone. In the meantime you can sign up with a personal Microsoft account, a Google account, or an email address and password.
"We couldn't sign you in with Microsoft"
This appears when Microsoft cannot confirm that the email address on your Microsoft account belongs to you — most often when the account was built on an address from another provider, such as a Gmail address used as a Microsoft account.
If you already have a Linkamatic account, sign in the way you normally do, then add Microsoft from Connected accounts in Profile settings. Your signed-in session is proof enough, so the connection goes through. Afterwards the Microsoft button reaches your account as usual.
The account picker shows the wrong account
Microsoft remembers accounts you have used in that browser. Choose Use another account in the picker to sign in with a different one.
Security notes
- Linkamatic never sees your Google or Microsoft password. Signing in happens on their site, and only a confirmation comes back to us.
- Linkamatic asks for your name and email address, and nothing else — no access to your mail, files, calendar, or contacts.
- One email address always belongs to exactly one Linkamatic account, so signing in a different way never creates a duplicate.
- You can disconnect a provider at any time from Connected accounts.
